(photo credit: nypost.com) A day after placing kicker Nick Folk on season ending injured reserve; the New York Jets got even more grave news. Starting left guard Willie Colon has joined Folk on the IR due to a knee injury and is now done for the season. This is troubling news for a Jets team who has failed to mount any semblance of a ground game for three straight weeks now. With veteran center Nick Mangold likely still hampered by the neck injury that forced him to miss most of the last two games, things aren't looking great for Gang Green's maulers upfront. This is not the first time that Colon has been forced to miss time this season. The veteran guard missed the Jets game in London against the Miami Dolphins and was replaced by Brian Winters. The third year guard our of Kent State did an admiral job filling in Colon, helping to pave the way for Chris Ivory to run for a career best 166 yards.
